The Lookout students have been exploring their local communities this term, exploring what local facilities we have within our community that they may want to make use of in the future. Our young adults have also been exploring dental hygiene, appointments and social skills.

Kestrels Class have been working on a charity project, the class researched some local charities and decided to start a project to support an animal shelter. The students have created a drop off point at reception and are hoping to collect some items such as animal food and toys to donate to the animal shelter.

Kestrels class have been working hard during their work experience, learning all about the skills a person would need to fulfil the role of an office worker.

Falcons class have been attending their work experience placements within the main school, where they have been assigned a specific job inline with their current interests to allow them the opportunity to gain some experience. Students have been enjoying this experience and the feedback has been positive from their placement supervisors.

Physical education - Outdoor and adventure.

This term we have been enjoying our P.E sessions outside, focusing on team building alongside personal fitness. This is a great opportunity for our young adults to connect with their peers through developing their gross motor and social skills whilst encouraging an active healthy lifestyle.

Kestrels haven been practicing their throwing and catching, using bat and ball activities, ball control skills, balance awareness and co ordination games working in teams and working towards personal goals.

Falcons have been using our outdoor gym facilities, taking full advantage of exercising in the natural light and air. Using a mixture of equipment, outdoor resources and resistance bands to facilitate all of our students needs. The students have enjoyed this as they can work on their own personal fitness whilst socialising and cheering each other on! Alongside their outdoor gym sessions, the students have been exploring outdoor games and activities such as archery, basket ball, target throwing and catching.

The Look out have been working hard together within their mini business's creating some fantastic ideas and bringing them to life and selling to our school community.
