On Monday, Weasels class visited Rutland Farm Park! We had a lovely time seeing all of the different animals around the farm. We even got to feed some of them!
In theme this term Weasels are learning all about the human body! We have been learning the names of the different organs in the body, where to find them and how they work. We have also been exploring our senses and enjoyed exploring different activities that are linked to each sense.
To begin the Summer term Weasels class have been learning all about bugs. We have learnt about the life cycle of a caterpillar by creating the different stages in art form, we investigated different animal habitats, we created our own wormeries and we even went on a bug hut where we caught lots of little beasties! Weasels were also lucky enough to have our own caterpillars in class and the children really enjoyed watching them change into beautiful butterflies and getting to let them go!
With restrictions lifting around the UK, this meant that we were able to go on a Weasels school trip to East Carlton Park. The children all really enjoyed going on the new mini bus, going for a walk, looking at the animals, playing with our friends at the park and meeting our friend that we hadn't seen for a long time!
