This term our main focus has included a space theme. One of the activities we have completed within this space theme is space art. This has included Field Mice children creating their own moon and star pictures using paints and glitter, as well as their own planets. Field Mice class enjoyed this and completed such good work that it made it up on to our 'theme' display board!
Following on from our space theme this term, Field Mice class also made their own space rockets. We used old plastic bottles, tin foil, lots of shiny silver paper and red/orange paper to make the special effects. The children loved making these rockets and were very excited to bring them home to show their families.
For Red Nose Day this year, the theme was 'wear clothes that make you happy' and Field Mice class did exactly that. Some came into class wearing their pyjamas, some wearing princess fancy dress and some wearing tops with their favourite characters on the front. We completed a lot of fun tasks for Red Nose day including decorating red nose themed biscuits and making our own super hero masks.
Field Mice class have worked so hard this term that they earned a second big picture treat! They all voted and decided on Pizza, Pyjamas and a Movie. They got in to their pyjamas, ate takeaway pizza and all sat around on bean bags watching Moana and Pete's Dragon. Everyone had a well deserved lovely afternoon.
