RED NOSE DAY Friday 19th March 2021
Red Nose Day 2021 is just around the corner and we’ve decided to join in the fun.
What is Red Nose Day?
Red Nose Day is a fundraising event run by Comic Relief. Comic Relief is a UK charity which aims to create a world free from poverty. The money raised is used to transform lives in the UK and around the world.
Why we’re taking part
Pupils learn valuable life skills and gain understanding and empathy for others in the world. We are also showing our support to Claire Law, whose daughter Evelyn is in Daisy’s class; you may have seen her on the One Show completing a Red Nose Spoon and Nose challenge over 100kms. As school staff we have been ‘clocking up the kilometres too, with the aim of a collective 1000kms by this Friday! After a difficult 12 months, it’s a great way for us to raise a smile across our school and show that we can really make a difference to people’s lives.
To help this wonderful charity on Friday the 19th of March we are asking for all children and adults in our school to wear something that makes them happy (this could be their school uniform!) and we are asking you to donate £1.00 if you are able to do so.
We will also be using Red Nose Day as a learning opportunity to help our pupils explore the issues facing young people across the world, and how the money we raise can help. Classes will be carrying out activities within their rooms as is appropriate to the needs of the children.
We really appreciate your support and hope that you will join us in helping us raise lots of money for Red Nose Day.
Thank you for your continued support.
