Just some important reminders..
I hope that you have all had a good weekend.
I am writing to clarify a few points for you all:
1. Firstly we welcome back the Weasels class on Monday 7th September. As stated in my letter of the 4th September I will take every precaution that I can to keep everyone in our school community safe.
2. As a school we are being proactive in our quest to prevent the spread of COVID -19 and I am ensuring that all staff alert myself as soon as possible if they display any symptoms or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID -19. As staff then need to go and get tested this may mean that we need to close a class temporarily. This is an important part of our ongoing Risk Assessment processes.
3. We are not taking temperatures upon entrance to the school in accordance with DfE guidance.
4. If a child displays COVID- 19 symptoms either in school or at home, we are advising parents and carers to seek medical guidance. If you are advised by a medical professional to have your child tested for COVID- 19 due to their symptoms, but you feel this is not appropriate for your child, then we will require your child to self-isolate for 14 days before returning to school symptom free. We do not need to see evidence of a test if your child is not considered to be symptomatic or you have self isolated your child. If a child presents with COVID -19 symptoms during the school day and you are asked to collect them, then you will need to have a conversation with us prior to your child returning to school.
Everything that we ask is in our quest to keep everyone safe. Please do contact us if you have any questions as we are here to support and advise as best as we can. At any point during the school day you can call to talk to our school nursing team.
Once again we thank you for your ongoing support.
Stay safe and well.
