Easter Newsletter 3rd April 2020
3rd April 2020
Dear Parents, Carers and Families
What a fortnight it has been! Today is officially the last day of Spring Term. It will be an Easter Holiday like no other but we send all of our best wishes to our families. Hope you manage to have some Easter fun. I want to thank you all for your support, your feedback and your patience! All three have been greatly needed and appreciated. Somehow we have all survived two weeks of this challenging situation and whilst I know that we still have a long way to go working together and supporting each other will help us all to get through! Our staff team continue to work hard at home, many of them are juggling their own ‘home educating’ balanced with working as directed by myself.
We hope that you enjoyed the video of week one ‘Show us your Learning’ – I am busy creating week 2’s video on ‘Show us your Smile!’ which will go on to the website (Learning tab/Learning at home/Videos – Learning at home) by Monday 6th April. Week 3’s focus is ‘Show us your music!’ – keep those photos coming as we all love to see them!
I thought it might help to confirm email addresses for you;
Free School Meals Vouchers
This week the Government rolled out their National Scheme for vouchers for meals for all children entitled to a Free School Meal. These vouchers do not start until the 6th April and Natalie will be emailing or posting the details to you. If you need help before this time then please do let Sam Wall know.
We now begin our Easter holiday for 2 weeks. Over this period, no work will be directly set; you and your children can enjoy your time together – stay home and stay safe! I know for many of you though, now you are in a routine will want to try and maintain this; as always do what is right for you and your child. The school remains closed during this period and whilst I appreciate that being at home can be a real challenge we are all playing our part in keeping our community as safe as we can by staying at home – Stay home - Save lives. We continue to follow Government, DfE, Public Health England and Local Authority advice and will reopen as soon and as fully as we can.
Keep in touch
Welfare calls from our Teaching team will continue on Monday 6th April and Tuesday 14th April.
Myself, Sam and Bonnie will still be working over Easter to ensure that the wellbeing of all remains as best as it can; our teachers will be available if you need them. Please do not hesitate to get in touch about… anything. If you’re concerned about how to keep your child busy, if you are ill and need help; if you don’t have enough food; if you are worried about your child. If you need help, tell us – Samantha.email@example.com and we will do our utmost to support you as best as we can.
So, our warmest Easter wishes to you all, wrap your loved ones up, take care and stay safe.
