Autumn Term
Forest School
Here in Snowdrops we have been busy learning through play. This has included exploring the outdoor space to make dens, problem solving as a team and imaginative play, making meals for each other using the mud kitchen.
Numeracy
We have covered many topics this term in numeracy such as measuring, using different resources such as coloured blocks for classroom objects, and trundle wheels to measure the distance of how big Red Kite School actually is!
Leading up to Christmas, we studied symmetry. In snowdrops we created our own symmetrical creatures using different shapes and patterns, we played class pairing games to match up symmetrical logos and we made our own Christmas symetrical snowflakes for decorating the class.
Sport and Movement
During our PE lessons we have been completing skill drills to work on fundamental movement such as balance, co-ordination and agility.
Christmas Week
Christmas was made special this year when we had a visit from the elves on their sleigh. We wrote our letters to Santa and posted them to the elves.
We also created decorations and reindeer food for the Christmas fair. We had a lot of fun in Snowdrops class.
